| The color project is focused on displaying dynamic color schemes within color theory. Color theory relates to how we perceive colors, especially in relation to the colors that surround them. The first composition is achromatic, using black, white and 7 shades in between. It was a challenge to create movement in this piece because of the lack of color. The second composition demonstrates the use of a basic primary color scheme, blue, yellow and red. The third composition shows the use of complimentary colors, as we were tasked with creating in image with colors opposite on the color wheel. The fourth image demonstrates the use of warm analogous colors, and the fifth shows cool analogous tones. It was important on both of those not to veer to oppositely warm or cool with the tones of the shapes. |
