Mobius

For the Mobius assignment we first cut a straight line in a square piece of paper and twisted and taped it, creating a mobius form. A second, non-straight cut was added to increase the aesthetic appeal of the form. After creating the 3D forms, we photographed each of the two forms separately, then one together and the photos were edited in Adobe Photoshop. Once the pictures were finished, we used AutoCAD to map out the cuts so the form could be duplicated with accuracy if they needed to be. I learned that duplicating a mobius form is very difficult because it is tough to get it to look the same as the prototypical form. I enjoyed mapping out the cuts on AutoCAD and getting to see what it would like to someone who wanted to duplicate the form exactly.
