In this page, you can see my design of rings in both digital rendered form and physical form. I think this is an assignment which spend most of time in this semester, and I feel satisfied about it although the physical from is not as beautiful as I thought. The inspiration of this project comes from the "Golden Snitch"in the novel "Harry Potter". The reason why I made the Golden Snitch's wing into sliver rather than gold is to show the color contrast. Another reason I use silver and gold is that I think they are the representaive color in Jewelry. The wood material sybolizes the broom "Nimbus2000" Harry Potter used in the Quidditch match. This project helps me have an idea about how I should render my ring in 3D MAX. You can see three different of views in rendered form in first four images, and physical ring on paper and my hand from the last three images.
