Problems in Design I
main

Project Two required the construction of a twenty-five identical spatial cells, stacked in five rows and five columns to create a wall surface.  Each special cell was based in a cube measuring 5”x5”x5”.

My design stemmed from a desire to use the negative space created by curved inner pieces to suggest the presence of various curved solids within the wall.  The end result was quite versatile – by limiting the cell to consist of only three repeated shapes cut from Foamcore, I was able to harmonize the appearance of every cell from every orientation.

Due to the delicate nature of the sides and their harmonized proportions and shapes, the appearance of my wall can be described as both elegant and skeletal.
