High-Dimensional Data Analysis

BIOS 7240

Spring 2023

Announcements:

3-21: Now is a good time to start thinking about your final project: who you are planning to work with and what paper you are planning to read and present. By April 13, please send me an email with the DOI of the paper you have chosen and who you are planning to work with. I am happy to discuss papers and provide suggestions ahead of time, or you can find a paper on your own.

3-21: On Monday, March 27, I will be unable to hold office hours at the “usual” time (whatever that means anymore). Specifically, I will be unavailable any time after 2p. If you would like to meet before then on Monday, please let me know and I would be happy to make time for you.

3-21: BIOS:7310 (Longitudinal Data Analysis) is back to its original time, so I am changing my office hours back to their original times. They will once again take place from 2:30-3:30p Monday and 3:00-4:00p Wednesday. This is reflected in the syllabus. I apologize for these changes – just trying my best to make sure all the students have access to office hours.

3-01: BIOS:7310 (Longitudinal Data Analysis) has changed times and now conflicts with my original office hours. Because this affects a number of students, I am changing my office hours. They will now take place from 1p-2p Monday and Wednesday. This is reflected in the syllabus. If you are adversely affected by this change, please let me know.

1-10: Welcome to the website for High-Dimensional Data Analysis. On the menu above are links to the syllabus, lecture notes, and assignments. There are also a number of data sets available. We will discuss these data in class and analyze them in homework assignments as the semester goes on.
