My name is Nitesh Mathur, and I am a fourth year PhD candidate in mathematics at the University of Iowa.
My area of research is in Partial Differential Equations, and I am currently studying the applications and theory of conservation laws. The models I use in my research are applicable in chemotaxis (biology) and traffic flow. Prior to the University of Iowa, I completed both my Master’s in applied mathematics & Bachelor’s in mathematics with a minor in computer science and music from the University of Tulsa.
Currently, I am also interested in Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence, specifically in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision.
