SOTA 2007 at Termas Puyehue and Field Forum at Tartara-San Pedro in Chile
The images below were taken at the SOTA 2007 conference, and during the GSA Field Forum at Tartara-San Pedro in Chile. Both were led by Mike Dungan. The field forum brought together many of the world's experts on volcanic processes to observe the lithologies erupted over the history of the Tartara-San Pedro complex and to discuss the origins of basalts and andesites erupted here and elsewhere in volcanic arcs.
