  • African Studies - This database is an anthology of 16 databases covering 19th century to present, derived from books, periodical articles, pamphlets, maps and music recordings. Topics include politics, history, economics, business, mining, development, social issues, anthropology, literature, language, law, and music.
  • America: History and Life - A complete bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present.
  • American Periodical Series (APS) - American popular and professional periodicals covering a wide range of subjects. Provides citations, full text.
    Historical Abstracts - Covers the history of the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada, which are covered in America History and Life).
  • Historical New York Times - Identifies historical coverage of The New York Times (1851-2001) including full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue.
  • International Medieval Bibliography - Identifies multi-disciplinary articles and books about the European Middle Ages
  • Iter: Gateway to the Middle Ages and Renaissance - Identifies articles, conference proceedings, and books on all aspects of the Middle Ages and Renaissance (400-1700).
  • JSTOR - Full text articles from back issues of academic journals in a variety of subject areas.
  • Periodicals Contents Index (PCI) - Periodical archive of the backfiles of periodicals in the humanities and social sciences
  • Project Muse - Provides full text access to scholarly journals in the humanities, the social sciences and mathematics published by Johns Hopkins University Press. Coverage period variable. Update period is also variable. Provides citation, abstracts, and full text.
  • The Times Digital Archives - Complete digital edition of The Times (London), 1785-1985.
