About

I am an Informatics doctoral student at the University of Iowa with an Information Science emphasis. Operating under the direction of Dr. David Eichmann, I am currently working on the National Center for Data to Health (CD2H) project, a multi-institutional collaborative effort funded by NIH/NCATS that seeks to support CTSAs across the nation (Grant # U24TR002306). My roles within this project include local project management and coordination, data modeling and data ingestion, search interface design support, and production level visualization design and implementation.

To address the COVID-19 global health crisis, CD2H has partnered with NCATS and multiple other agencies to establish the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C), an effort to build a centralized, secure portal of COVID-19 clinical data from across the nation. I have been active with this initiative, supporting web development and visualization design.

My personal research interests include data management, data and data model quality, and information visualization.

Background

My previous education includes a Bachelors of Science in Political Science and a Master's in Library and Information Science, both obtained from the University of Iowa. Professionally, I've been a teaching assistant for several different courses relating to information science, informatics, and information visualization and have also supported additional projects involving academic profiling, libraries, and publication data.
