Teaching Assistant - TV News class (August 2005 - present) I train students to work with digital cameras and Final Cut Pro to produce news packages.
Teaching Assistant - Layout and Design class (August 2006 - present) I help students learn to work with InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Publication Assistant - Department of Science Education (February 2004 - August 2005) Working for Dr. Robert E. Yager, I typed and edited manuscripts, handled correspondence, files and e-mails.
Access Specialist (2002-2003) I wrote articles for the newsletter, and produced an instructional manual and video on in-camera editing. Trained volunteers to work with both analog and digital cameras and editing.
Training Coordinator (2002-2003/1991-1994) I set up field and studio production classes, supervised trainers, coordinated interns and volunteers, facilitated both field and studio productions and set up Orientations. I also did outreach to non-profits, developed curriculum and did outreach to non-profits in the community.
CO-TV Director (1995 - 1997) I hired trainers, managed the budget, developed curriculum and taught video production to community organizers for the Community Organizer Television training program.
Steering Committee Member (1984 - 1988) We set policies, hired staff and and did outreach and fundraising as we set up a non-profit to run this national public access television satellite network.
Segment Producer (1984 - 1993) I produced several segments included in various series shown on Deep Dish, including one on the farm crisis and another on the KKK and public access in Kansas City.
Central Staff (1994-1997/1988-1989) Did outreach, organized files, answered mail and phone inquiries as we organized several series to be uplinked via satellite and downlinked by public access centers across the U.S.
