Spread the word is an installation based on the theme of climate change. It aims to raise people’s awareness through asking them to tel 5 other people about the problems generated by climate changes.
With that in mind, I started thinking how I could translate this concept into a physical object. A dodecahedron cut in half became the perfect shape since it is composed of one pentagon connected to other 5 pentagons on each side, which would perfectly represent one person telling five people in an abstract way.
Each cluster carries a specific piece of information that people would be spreading, paired up with a strong image. The clusters address consequences and statistics that are related to climate change. The pieces were placed in a random pattern in the corner of the gallery to represent the idea of a sprawl of information within that space.
