Geometra Fruit Bowl
Geometra was designed with the intent of creating an object that would have a shape that would contrast and therefore enhance the natural and organic shapes of the fruit it would nest within it. It is fabricated from a single unbroken sheet of steel, that is cut and folded, making it capable of being mass-produced.
Its design was done using Computer-Aided Design technology (drafting) and Computer Numeric Control technology for the fabrication. The working prototype was painted in matte white paint to have the piece as a background for the natural color of the fruit. But it could also be featured in polished steel or any other colors.
