Kaylee Thomas is on her third year of college at the University of Iowa, her major is in art and she is hoping to get her BFA for painting. She is also in Problems in Design II which let her in on what a designer’s life was like, which is being able to create anything you can think of to a fish face magazine rack or a plastic chair that is covered in records. This class also allowed her to realize all the different ways a person can go about creating an object, to using computer programs like 3D Max and AutoCad, or just constructing plastic by hand. She rather enjoys design because the entire time she was in class she made things that she would want or that she would buy at a store. After she graduates she would like to go to school for interior design which mashes together her two things she enjoys to do at school, painting and designing. She is taking her first interior design class next semester and hoping that it will be her favorite class of all her whole college career. She wants to bring a new fresh outlook to places she feels as if she is very young at heart and can create things that will bring a smile to people’s faces with her use of bright colors and fun designs.
