  • The American Political Science Association, founded in 1903, is the leading professional organization for the study of political science and serves more than 15,000 members in over 80 countries. With a range of programs and services for individuals, departments and institutions, APSA brings together political scientists from all fields of inquiry, regions, and occupational endeavors within and outside academe in order to expand awareness and understanding of politics.
  • The Midwest Political Science Association
  • The MPSA is a national organization with a membership of over three thousand political science professors, students, and public administrators. Founded in 1939, the MPSA is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship in all areas of political science.
  • The Southern Political Science Association
  • The SPSA is a professional membership organization for political scientists. The purpose of the association is to promote excellence in academic scholarship, university teaching, and both professional and public service.
  • International Studies Association
  • A group of scholars and practitioners founded the International Studies Association (ISA) in 1959 to pursue mutual interests in international studies. Representing eighty countries, ISA has over three thousand members worldwide and is the most respected and widely known scholarly association in this field.
  • Women in Conflict Studies
  • A scholarly association of women who engage in scientific research on international conflict and cooperation.
  • Journeys in World Politics Workshop
  • The Journeys workshop brings together junior and senior women working in International Relations. The weekend experience is highlighted by research presentations by junior scholars, feedback on research from conference participants, sessions on career and gender topics (e.g., networking, mentoring, balancing family & work, women in the classroom, negotiations), and oral autobiographies by senior scholars.
