Course Description

The ECG Interpretation for Exercise Testing course is a combination of computer tutorial and simulation which presents basic principles of electrocardiography, models skills for reading ECG wave forms, and provides guidance and practice in assessing ECGs during graded exercise testing and exercise sessions.

Originally developed in 1993 by Kangmei Yang as part of her master thesis, the course has been updated in 2004 with the help of The University of Iowa Office of Provost, Undergraduate Education.

The program was developed to support learning opportunities for Health Promotion students within the Department of Health and Sport Studies, University of Iowa.
