Web Site Hosting
I know a thing or two about website hosting, but I am definitely no expert. I did learn though that there can be variations of website hosting and I also learned about the benefits of this.
By using free, cheap or even shared web site hosting you are able to save some money for yourself or your company and share with other users. Free hosts are usually used however for individuals and are backed by the use of advertisement sponsors, they may also not have as much technical support as other web hosts or space, but if you don't really need these things than this option is the best one for you and definitely at a great price (free!).
I just heard about a new kind of web hosting also called cluster. This is when several servers host a web page. This is a good option for businesses that need 100% uptime guarantee. PHP Web Hosting is also another variation of website hosting available. This is common because it is supported by several different operating systems and platforms. Another kind of website hosting option is ASP. This option allows you to create different information that is available to users depending on who they are. This is great for companies that have several different departments or for first time clients to get the lay of the land before signing in again and seeing more. Blog hosting is also popular especially with students. We are able to get our thoughts out there and also keep in touch and school are using blogs more and more for assignments too.
I think that overall, the point is that you need to evaluate who is using this website (if it is just for you or if it is for business) and how many people (size of the business maybe) and what you will be using it for. If you need to save money or not or what your budget looks like is also something that you may need to think about. Selecting a website host is like doing almost every other thing for your company. You need to make sure that you are staying within your budget and finding out what is best for everyone and your needs. Because it is hard to find the service or product and provider that is best for you without knowing what you are really looking for.
