LOOKING FOR CAR INSURANCE THE OLD FASHIONED WAY
A friend of mine was recently looking for a new insurance company after a ticket sent her car insurance through the roof. I didn't realize that one ticket could take such a toll on a person's insurance rate, but I have not gotten any tickets yet, so I what do I know. She said that she had to contact a ton of different auto insurance companies and get all kinds of insurance quotes, before she could even come up with a rate that was half way decent. When I asked her how she went about it, she informed me that she went through the yellow pages and called all the insurance companies that she found listed there. I asked her why she didn't just go online and look up different companies rates, she said she just didn't even think to do that. I told her that most of that information could have been accessed online in just a few minutes time. She said she was stupid not to do it that way, and I told her that I had purchased insurance online many times in the past and that it was the best way to find good rates quickly.
It really surprised me that she didn't think to do this. I mean doesn't everyone use their computer to access information, or is it just me. I look lots of information up online including weather, news, definitions, research info for reports and even access all my bills and banking in this way. It is just strange to think that someone would pull out the phone book and start looking for a new insurance company in this way. I don't even use my phone book anymore, instead I just go online and access phone numbers and addresses there as well. In my opinion, whether you are looking for rate quotes or information about a particular subject, the internet is always the place to go. Why waste time using any other resources when all the information you need is right here on the web...right?
