Bed, Bath and Beyond
When I was shopping for school stuff with my roommate we had to find a lot of stuff in only a few days so we hit up bed bath and beyond and IKEA (since Indiana has nothing but Wal-Mart basically).
So the first things we looked for was stuff for our beds. We had our memory foam mattresses (well I had to get a box spring) but we needed to get memory foam mattress pads and pillows and the rest of the bedding. It took us forever to decide what we wanted and finally two hours later we decided on (of course the first ones we saw) black and white bedding.
After that we went to look for end tables and bar stools for our living room and kitchen. The end tables were easy, but bar stools were hard to know what to get because we didn't measure the bar and we were of course 5 hours away from school so we basically guessed (thankfully they worked out).
After all of that we moved onto the rest of the bedroom furniture. This is where it got sticky. We knew the size of our beds and kind of where the windows were and stuff, but we had only seen the house twice and our parents hadn't seen it at all and go figure we didn't measure anything. We kind of had to go off of our memory with the measurements and it all ended up working in the end but it was extremely frustrating going back and forth about everything between us and our parents and calling friends that could go check out the house and tell us about it. But we found night stands and hangers for our closet and dressers and desks.
By the end of two days us and our parents were exhausted (and the Uhaul wasn't even loaded yet) but we had finally gotten everything done. I definitely learned a few lessons though from last year. I learned to measure everything, especially when you are five hours away when shopping for expensive items and I also learned not to procrastinate (well we'll see about that ha) and that my dad is usually right about everything and not to second guess or question him about most things. I am so extremely happy that we are finally done with everything and moved in, now I'm just dreading moving out.
