Finding out which are the best diet pills

The obesity rate in this country keeps rising and although we all talk about diet and exercise, really how many of us are doing what we need to do to stay healthy. I have watched many people I love pack on the pounds and try diet and exercise to no avail. Barely eating and exercising daily, all to see little to no results. Now don't get me wrong, I know that these things are still good for you, however when you are struggling to lose weight it can become really frustrating when you don't really see any results on the scale.

My sister in law has struggled with her weight for her whole life. Her weight goes up and then she loses a few pounds and then it goes up again. Her weight yo-yos endlessly and the sad thing is that she is always on some type of diet. First it was the Cabbage Soup diet, then she was on Weight Watchers, for a while she was on Atkins, but she felt that she had no energy when she was on that diet. Sometimes it is difficult to find a diet that really works for you as an individual. It doesn't really matter how many people have been able to lose weight on a particular diet plan, if you can't then it is very frustrating.

Recently she went to Jenny Craig, and started on their program, which she says really works well for her, she likes the fact that it keeps her eating often throughout the day. She also, this time, consulted with her doctor, and he suggested that she supplement her diet and exercise with some diet pills, and he told her that the best diet pills that he has seen are the ephedra diet pills. He said that a lot of his patients were using them, and that they seemed to encourage them to keep going on their diet and exercise programs because they were finally able to see some good results.

Well, to date my sister in law has lost about 50lbs and she is looking really good. She says that she still has about 50lbs to lose, but she is encouraged to keep going because now she not only sees the results on the scale but also in the mirror. Let's face it, it really doesn't matter what the scale says, as long as we look good and feel good that is really our bottom line, isn't it?

Deciding on a wireless home alarm

Living on campus has its perks and its down sides. I came to school thinking about how cool it would be that I wouldn't be living with my parents and that I would have all the time in the world to just do my own thing. That of course, for any of you who have or do live in the dorms have realized, is definitely not the case when it comes to living in the housing areas. Personally I found the experience of living in the dorms to be more intrusive than living at home. I mean from the communal showers to the four other guys living in your room, you have absolutely no way of being yourself without totally alienating yourself. It sounds crazy but it's true. That is why this semester I am living off campus.

Now I know that much in the same way I had previously idealized life in the dorms, my preconceptions about life off campus have also bee laid to the stone and brightened by the light of the truth. Where before I had trouble with privacy and issues of too much going on within my own living space, ow I worry more about the ways in which things will go on when I am not here. Now that I live in a house I am not the only person living here who wants to just be free. I am also not protected by the lovable resident advisors that I had once dreaded. Now I rely on the home alarm system to make sure things work out for me. Our landlord made sure that we all knew when we moved in that this house has bee prone to robbery in the past. That is why he decided to put in a GE simon XT which is a wireless home alarm system. Essentially I have replaced the overbearing comforts of the dorms for the overbearing yet watchful eye of my landlord. I think it is sort of a silly trade off but I still feel like I made the right decision and that I wouldn't want to give this up to go back to the dorms for anything.

LOOKING FOR CAR INSURANCE THE OLD FASHIONED WAY

A friend of mine was recently looking for a new insurance company after a ticket sent her car insurance through the roof. I didn't realize that one ticket could take such a toll on a person's insurance rate, but I have not gotten any tickets yet, so I what do I know. She said that she had to contact a ton of different auto insurance companies and get all kinds of insurance quotes, before she could even come up with a rate that was half way decent. When I asked her how she went about it, she informed me that she went through the yellow pages and called all the insurance companies that she found listed there. I asked her why she didn't just go online and look up different companies rates, she said she just didn't even think to do that. I told her that most of that information could have been accessed online in just a few minutes time. She said she was stupid not to do it that way, and I told her that I had purchased insurance online many times in the past and that it was the best way to find good rates quickly.

It really surprised me that she didn't think to do this. I mean doesn't everyone use their computer to access information, or is it just me. I look lots of information up online including weather, news, definitions, research info for reports and even access all my bills and banking in this way. It is just strange to think that someone would pull out the phone book and start looking for a new insurance company in this way. I don't even use my phone book anymore, instead I just go online and access phone numbers and addresses there as well. In my opinion, whether you are looking for rate quotes or information about a particular subject, the internet is always the place to go. Why waste time using any other resources when all the information you need is right here on the web...right?

decorating for a luau party

As an unofficial part-time party planner, friends always come to me for advice for things like finding a theme, getting people to come, and all other aspects of party planning. I usually use the same process for each of my clients, and it's a successful process that I'm going to share right now.

The most important part of organizing a party is to first choose a theme. The theme can be something like “beach party” or “luau party”. Of course, your party doesn't have to be so extravagant. “Matt's Kegger” will work just fine. The important thing is that you have a theme; this will act as an outline for the remainder of your party planning.

Now that you've got a good theme, it's time to get party supplies! Now, if you've got a little time before your party you can shop online and find some great deals. Otherwise, hightail it to the nearest party supply outlet. Here is where the theme becomes important. Say you're preparing for a “glow-in-the-dark” party. You'll want to stay away from things like flowers and balloons and instead grab some glow sticks and glow necklaces. Staying in line with your chosen theme not only saves you money but gives you direction and keeps you focused on the important things you need for your party.

All right. You've got a theme, and you've got (or ordered) supplies. Now you need to establish the time and day of your party. Here theme is important as well. If you're planning a luau, you can probably plan it for early evening. Parties involving alcohol (only if you and your guests are over 21) can be planned for later in the night on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays, when attendees will be looking for these sorts of parties.

Okay, so you've got the what, when, where, and why of the party. All that's missing are invitations! In old times (and for formal events) people would send or hand out paper invitations to their parties. In the day and age of Facebook, however, you're much less likely to be successful relying on snail mail to get your invites out. The quickest way to announce a party is on Facebook, which many students check often. On Facebook, you can convey all the vital information of the party and even decide who you want to invite! With Facebook's “Attending/Not Attending/Maybe Attending” feature, you can not only get a decent guest list but can also anticipate whether or not you have enough supplies.

The hard part of planning the party is now over. All you have left to do is decorate (if your theme calls for it) and wait for your party to become a hit!

Credit Card Counseling Now Necessary

I am a pre-pharmacy major so finance is definitely foreign to me when it comes to school work. However last year I decided to add marketing as my minor so that I could expand my job search and possibilities when I get out of college in the area of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sales. So I ended up having to take a lot of classes I have never taken before like econ and finance. In my current finance class we are talking about how our society now has had to rely a lot on credit and loans and when it is or isn't a good time to use credit. I feel like after taking this class that every person should have to go through credit card counseling in order to open a line of credit, or once they have. There is so much to know about credit and often people turn to counseling after they are knee deep in debt and it's too late and affecting their current lives and their future.

Taking this class has definitely taught me a lot about credit that I didn't know before and I feel like the information that I have gotten will help me in the future, however a lot of people will not take a class like this (I wouldn't have until I changed my minor). So I feel like a lesson or even an online tutorial should be mandatory to open credit or get a loan. Our economy right now is scary. We have no idea what will happen in the near future and it is scary to hear people who lived through the depression talk about how similar it looks. It's especially scary to me as a college student because entering the ‘real world' is hard enough out of college, but with such economic hard times it is even scarier. If everyone had a lesson earlier about borrowing money or paying back their debts and paying bills on time, who knows if we would still be in this situation, but at least we would understand more about it. If it weren't for this class that I am taking right now, if I was reading the newspaper and hearing about what is happening with banks, and stocks and the bail out, I probably wouldn't understand it (I don't even completely understand it now). In order to have a great society and one that takes action, we need to stay informed throughout the good times as well as the bad instead of being counseled after we are already down.

THE ALL NATURAL DIET PILLS

A trip to my local health food store, let me know that I really didn't know as much about health food products as I had always thought. A new health food store opened down the road from me and so I had to check it out. I got to meet the new owner who quite honestly knows quite a lot about the herbs and health food products that she carries. This store has everything that you could possibly need related to health. She carries organic fruits and vegetables and organic prepackaged foods. She has all natural baby food, herbs, vitamins and homeopathic products. I had come in looking for some natural diet pills and was completely impressed with the selection that she had and the information that she knew about each of the products. It is really great when someone knows that much about what they are carrying and really allows you to make a good solid decision about the products you are buying.

After collecting all the information that this woman had to offer, I made my decision on which pill I thought would be right for me. I didn't think twice once I had the facts. Well, sure enough I think that I picked the right one. I had plenty of energy without a big sugar rush, and was able to lose about 20lbs. I felt reasonably full all the time and so I didn't eat as much. I didn't have to make major life changes, they just came. Losing weight had never been so simple before. After going off the pills, I still didn't gain back any weight. Apparently, by not eating so much for a few months, my body just got used to functioning on less and my stomach began to shrink. Don't get me wrong, I am very careful not to over eat, because I know that if I do then my body will get used to that all over again and my stomach will begin to stretch.

Dieting is about balance and I do eat healthy and exercise, but I also think that stress just makes you eat more. I have been back to our little health food store and have sent others there as well. I am very grateful that we now have a place that we can go to get healthy foods and herbs at a reasonable price, so I want her business to do well so she stays here for a long time.

Beauty and Tea

At spas that I have been to in the past I have seen and had used on me tea bags. I have always wondered the significance of the tea bags were and if the spa had to order wholesale tea in bulk. I found out later though that white tea can benefit your skin. Free radicals from staying out in the sun too long, a poor diet and stress can cause your skin to be damaged and age early. By scavenging these free radicals, the white tea can help to protect the skin and reverse some of the damage that has been done to it. Herbal tea is also used to cleanse the skin and give you a healthy glow. Spas also have herbal tea because it produces an aroma that has a calming effect. Herbal tea also soothes away stresses and is believed to have some anti depressant effects as well. I can see why spas would want to have a bulk of this on hand. I can't imagine tea is that expensive, especially buying wholesale tea.

Tea has also been used to color hair. A friend of mine puts a lemon tea bag into hot water and then streaks her hair with it before going out in the sun to lie out or swim. This is a lot healthier for your hair then some of the products that they have out there that can damage your hair or fry it and make it look nasty. Tea bags are a natural and not as drastic way to lighten up your strands.

Tea bags can also be used to de-puff your eyes. After brewing them in cold water, you can put them in the fridge to cool them and then lay them on your tired or puffy eyes for about ten minutes.

There are so many other things that tea bags can be used for like for minor cuts and burns as well as a treatment for sunburn. I have also heard that by soaking your feet in peppermint herbal tea after a long walk, a run or a hard day on your toes you can feel instantly refreshed. And that by rinsing your mouth with winter mint herbal tea you can keep your mouth fresher than just using a regular mouth wash.

It is amazing how many things you can do with a tea bag!
