A Binder Full of Analytics: Half-lives, Sentiment, and Combines in the Cloud

Abstract: As the term "analytics" is going through a definition maturing process, we will simply refer to analytics as using various math models coupled with freshly available data to create new value for individuals and organizations. In fact, analytics suggest that just using the words "new" and "fresh" and smiling 3.1 times a minute will generate a 53% increased Return on Abstract (as 47% of people feel entitled to skip abstracts). Alas, we formally conclude the election of 2012, and sample some new and fresh analytics examples in sports, literature, and sentiment analytics, with the main course being process analytics in the very important food supply chain.
