my poor mobile

Well my mobile finally broke. The hinge had been cracked for the last couple months and I opened it at CHA and lost the plastic piece underneath the basketball court. Luckily, that means it's only stuck open because the spring is now free to impose its will which is easily fixed with a rubber band. I also have to carry around the athletic training mobile, so i think i may just have to forward my calls to that phone if it's legal. I haven't asked yet nor have i done it, but a wise man once said it is better to do the deed and beg for forgiveness later than to not do the deed at all. Another wise man once said, if they can't take a joke... I can't finish that one. Amazingly enough all the reports I have read lately, had this phone broken in about 1 yr to a year and a half so i think I came out alright. It's been a little over 2 yrs which means I am in for a free upgrade.

Now I just have to decide which phone. The only thing set in stone is the brand, motorola. I am just not sure which phone, I have been struggling because a new version of the v3c (razr) coming out but have heard that these are prone to breakage as well. I think I might stick with an e815 despite its size because of durability. One of the reasons I want to stick with motorola is because my next computer is going to be a mac and it offers the best compatibility (I could go on and on about why I am choosing a mac but won't) But if anyone has any insight to these phones or any others let me know.

We travel to louisville, ky this weekend for field hockey. Hopefully the weather is better than last year (freezing rain) and there are no injuries. Last year we were sent to the football stadium to shower. My lockerroom was the one that Nick Lachey used for a dressing room the night before. I plan on taking some pictures and posting them when I get back. I still haven't put up the portland pictures on flickr partly because I don't want to move off some of the of the better pictures on my flickr site, but also am trying to decide if i should just create a new account there. If anyone is willing to upgrade me to a pro account, I wouldn't be opposed :)

Just a quick note, I'm sure portland is a great city, I just never got to see any of its great sides. A word of advice, avoid the Ramada Inn Airport. It was pretty seedy. One of the couples had to take the shuttle with me to the airport not by choice, but because their car was stolen out of the parking lot. But I have been told by the overwhelming majority it's a great town, I just may have to give it another shot someday. As long as I passed the boards anyway.
