Dr. Hollingworth holds a dual faculty appointment with the Educational Policy and Leadership Studies Department and Iowa Testing Programs. As a Postdoctoral scholar, she worked on Form C of the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS): Dunbar, S.B., Hoover, H.D., Frisbie, D.A., Oberley, K.R., Bray, G.B., Naylor, R.J., Ordman, V.L., Smith, J.S., Hollingworth, L., Hazen, T. (2008). The Iowa Tests of Basic Skills Form C, Levels 9-14. She also aligned the Iowa Tests to the curriculum standards for: Arkansas, Charlotte-Mecklenburg, NC, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Ohio, Utah, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, and Wyoming. Dr. Hollingworth led a team to write items for an augmented version of the Iowas for use in Ohio and the U.S. Virgin Islands. As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Hollingworth has been working on adapting the Cognitive Aptitude Test (CogAT) for use with children who are English learners. She is also conducting a line of research on issues of measurement and leadership. In addition to the publication of research on administrator responses to the pressures of high stakes accountability policies, Dr. Hollingworth is working with a team to build a framework for a learning progression for the principalship.
