Design Fundamentals
About

My name is Emily Willms.I am a junior at the University of Iowa and I am double majoring in art and psychology. After graduation, I intend to complete a masters program in art therapy.

Life can be crazy, hectic, and unpredictable. When it all becomes too much, I turn to art. One of my favorite things to do is crank up the stereo and draw or scrapbook. I have experience with many mediums and practices, but drawing with charcoal is probably my favorite. Though, I am open to all forms of art. I have taken introductory classes to drawing, painting, clay, photography, design, and independent studio.

For me, art is a whole other world. It is a place where I can really let go. There are no judgments, rules, or wrong answers. It is what sets me free. Art has always been a passion of mine, and I cannot imagine pursuing anything else.

This website was created as a final portfolio for the class Design Fundamentals, an entry-level studio course that explores two- and three-dimensional concepts of design. Through this course I have learned how to operate various programs and gained design experience.
