LIFE'S 10 COMMANDMENTS

  • Thou shalt only take notes on important points thou want-ith to remember. (Liberating fact: No longer do you need to try and record “everything” that might be on an exam.)
  • Thou shalt ask questions freely – and often. (Each week students submit questions for discussion. Fifteen minutes will be allocated each week in lecture to talk about them.)
  • “Other people matter; and we are all other people.” – Christopher Peterson, (University of Michigan)
  • “Thou shalt challenge orthodoxy.” – Daniel Pink, (A Whole New Mind, Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us)
  • “Be in touch with what’s happening to the Earth.” – Juliet Schor (Boston College)
  • “When in doubt, ignore all the commandments.” – Seth Godin (Linchpin: Are You Indispensable?, Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us)
