IFIS BlackBerry Playbook Tablet App

An IFIS BlackBerry Playbook Tablet application is developed at the Iowa Flood Center. This application is available at BlackBerry App World.

NASA Rain Gauge Network

A web-based map interface is developed for NASA to display real-time data from NASA-Wallop rain gauge network. Google Maps and Chart API are used to visualize the locations and data on mapping interface.

Flood Simulator Game

A web-based flood simulator game is developed to teach flood related concepts interactively. The web-based interface utilizes HTML 5 and Canvas and allows users to control a block using mouse or arrow keys to protect city from flooding.

Flood Map 3D Simulation

A web-based flood simulation is developed for navigating over the flood inundation map of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The web-based interface utilizes HTML 5 and WebGL and allows users to fly over and navigate on the flood map using mouse and arrow keys.

IFIS Pokki App

An IFIS Pokki application is developed at the Iowa Flood Center. This application is available at Pokki Appstore.

Flood Inundation Map Flight Simulator

A real-time web-based flight simulator is developed for navigating over the flood inundation map of Des Moines, Iowa. The web-based interface utilizes Google Earth and Google Maps API and allows users to control a helicopter of the flood map using arrow keys.

Rainfall and Flood Forecast Simulation (3D)

A real-time web-based simulation is developed in 3D using HTML 5 and Canvas for rainfall and flood forecast for Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The web-based interface simulates 552 hours of rainfall and flood conditions in 15 minutes intervals for 8436 spatial locations on the map.

Rainfall and Flood Forecast Simulation (2D)

A real-time web-based simulation is developed for rainfall and flood forecast for Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The web-based interface simulates 552 hours of rainfall and flood conditions in 15 minutes intervals for 8436 spatial locations on the map.

Real-time Flood Inundation Map Simulator

A real-time web-based flood inundation simulation is developed using HTML 5 and Canvas for Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The web-based interface simulates flood maps between stage values 5.5 ft and 34 ft.

Real-time Rainfall Drainage Tracker

A visualization interface for real-time rainfall drainage tracker is developed. Users are able to click on any location in Iowa and see how a single rain drop drains to the outlet.

Multi Sensor River View

A visualization interface is developed in IFIS for real-time stream gauge data from multiple IFC bridge sensors and USGS gauges in a single view along a river. Users are able to filter gauges along river pattern.
