Adult SS News - If you are interested in Anabaptist history, come to Room #53 today. Roger & Mary Lou Farmer will give a visual presentation of the European Anabaptist Study Tour in which they participated earlier this year. There will be time for questions and discussion as well.

Coming Up in Adult SS:

Mennonite Women’s project for the Nov. meeting are items for the Kalona Food Pantry.  We invite you in the congregation to participate if you wish.  A table will be in the foyer for the next several Sundays to place items.  Any food and paper products are needed.

 

Are you interested in the future of Iowa Mennonite School?  To be a part of marketing efforts to ensure IMS will be there for your children, grandchildren and others?  "Friends of IMS" will be meeting at the school on November 19, 6:30 p.m., to discuss ideas and put some plans in action.  All are invited to attend this informational meeting; please contact Chris Nachtigall at the school for more information.

 

Attention High School Students! Crooked Creek Christian Camp is ready for you, are you ready for Un-WinterFest 2009? Mark your calendars for November 14-15 and talk to your youth sponsors. If you sign up by November, you’ll save $10. You won’t want to miss this!

 

Washington County Public Health and Home Care, Washington, is sponsoring a Caregiver Support Group. This group meets on the second Wednesday of each month in the Miller Chapel/Blue Room at Pleasantview Home, 811 3rd Street, Kalona, at 2:30 p.m. various guest speakers discuss topics of interest and participants are welcome to share at each meeting. All friends and family members, who are caring for loved ones, are welcome to attend, free of charge.  Cara Sorrells, Director, Washington County Safety Center, Washington, will discuss Emergency Precautions in the Home at the 11/12 meeting (note the date change for this month only because of Veteran's Day). ·         Crooked Creek Christian Camp announces its annual fall business meeting for all SIMCA members and interested persons.  Soup supper will be served from 6:15 – 6:45 with meeting at 7 p.m.  Come to learn about camp and what happens there throughout the year.

·         Pathway Christian School's annual Senior Class Haystack Supper from 5:00-8:00pm. Meal is served on donation basis. No tickets needed--everyone welcome.
