The Annual Report is in your boxes today.  Please read it and bring it to the Annual Business Meeting which will be held on Wed., Feb. 6 following a meal at 6:00 p.m.


The IMS Chamber Singers will provide “Singing Valentines” on the 14th of February. To make a reservation, please contact the school office. Cost is $35 to sing for an individual, or $60 for a group. Payment must be made upon making the reservation.


Hey kids, Crooked Creek needs your help! For the month of January, we are doing a fundraiser to raise money to purchase more canoes and kayaks. For every $350 you raise, we can purchase one canoe! Look for the “Coins for Camp” calendar and save your change to give to Crooked Creek. See your camp representative for more information.


The Bel Canto Singers of Hesston College will present a service of choral music entitled Out of the Depths, Sat., Feb. 16, at IMS.  The 7 pm program features an eclectic body of work, organized around the season of Lent.  All are warmly invited.  The 18-member, mixed ensemble is directed by Bradley Kauffman.


You are invited to a concert of Christian Instrumental Music with the Paraguayan Harp by Eduard Klassen Sunday evening, February 17th at 7:00 PM at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church.  A free will offering will be taken.  Eduard Klassen was born and raised in Paraguay, South America.  Playing the harp has been his passion since 1975.  Later in his life he studied music for five years in Asuncion.  His tours have taken him to twenty countries where he has performed over 3,000 concerts.  He has been in churches, schools, colleges, concert halls and on radio and television programs.”


Washington Area Habitat for Humanity Fund Raising Soup Luncheon & Dinner Tuesday, January 29, 2008

       Luncheon 11 am - 2 pm

      Dinner 4:30 pm - 7 pm

            at the United Presbyterian Church, 209 E. Main St. – Washington

 Buffet of soups include:

      Chili, Vegetable Soup, Ham & Potato Soup, Ham & Bean Soup with Cornbread served with raw veggies, crackers, drinks and dessert

 Free Will Offering: All proceeds will go to help support the Washington Area Habitat for Humanity.

 Come “fill up” with Habitat and help us build houses as we work together building our community!


The Domestic Violence Intervention Program is holding its 11th annual DVIP Souper Bowl, a dinner to support services for victims of domestic violence, to be held on Thurs., Jan. 31 from 5:30 – 7:30 at the Quality Inns & Suites Highlander Conference Center.  Tickets available at the door.  For more information see the bulletin board.


The 2008 MCC Central States Annual Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 23 at the Ethiopian Evangelical Church, 14140 E. Evans Ave., Aurora, CO.  All constituents in Central States are welcome to attend the meting which is a combination worship service and business meeting.  Please join us, to review the past year in MCC Central States and look forward to the year ahead.
