There are many opportunities at SVP to act, direct, write, advertise, work with camera and audio equipment, and edit video footage for our shows. Producers are always looking for help on both the creative and technical sides of their teams, so it's very easy to get involved in pretty much any area of video production you like! Pitch your own ideas for a show, too - fresh concepts are always encouraged. And if you're really interested in SVP, you can apply to become a staff member at the beginning of the semester.

Get paid!
SVP is regularly hired by the university to record and edit together videos of special lectures or assemblies. This means that after some training with our equipment, you can get on the university payroll and earn money through SVP for shooting and/or editing "contracts." Working with the Contracts Manager, you can choose whichever assignments fit your schedule - the hours are up to you!

Get experience in video production and exercise your creativity! Come to one of our meetings on Monday nights at 8pm in the Michigan Room of the IMU to get acquainted.
